O2 Sensor

So my O2 sensor warning came on last year (70 hours on the motor). Raptor 400 motor. Dealer replaced the sensors $450. Figured problem solved; nope! Sensor warning back on this year with 180 hours. Dealer again replaced them. I’m upset as this surely can’t be an annual fix can it? Called Indmar for help. They worked with dealer who now says the manifolds were loose so water was getting in. Simple fix but I’m out and extra $450. Pulled the boat for the summer so don’t yet know if that’s the real fix but wanted to share in case others experience similar issue.

Has anyone updated the software on the 2016/2017 screen to the newest software to help with the GSA tabs and deployment? I know you lose the ability to adjust them manually (which I don't care for) but instead get them to deploy before even taking off and ensuring they actually get to 100%.

My f24 is sexy. Love it. But I’m a big guy and with both sides and bow tank full I still don’t get enough push to keep me going. I fall back out of it. Where should I place lead sacks to get more push.

Surfing behind a 21'6 2008 MB Sports B52 V

Can anyone comment on the quality of the surf wake behind a 2008 B52 V 21'6? I am looking at purchasing one but want a boat with great surf capabilities. I know the 23' B52 is pretty good but not sure if the 21'6 will be enough boat to kick up a good wake.

i am in the process of buying a 2013 f24 tomcat and was just wondering what I will need to add to make the best surf wave, which is primarily what we do. The boat come with GSA surf tabs.. how much extra weight will it need can I plumb in front ballast system under the front seats?

I've never done much surfing on my boat but just recently had a friend come in town who really wanted to surf. He had a Liquid Force Mega Wake Shaper that we used and it put out a pretty good wave with just the stock (1800 lbs) ballast, a full tank of gas and 5 people in the boat. I was thinking of picking one of them up so I could have the option to surf in the future but one thing I was thinking about while we were riding was the exhaust. How necessary is it to have an FAE / surf pipe?

Front Bow Bag - 2016 B52

Just picked up a 2016 B52 that the previous owner had plummed in a front bow bag (Fatsac 425) but the fittings were not 90 degrees so as the bag filled, it would bend and I assume over time has put pressure on the bag and damaged the insert so they both leak.

I reached out to wake makers and they suggested a 300lbs universal bag with 90 degree fittings. I feel 300 might be a little light and considering their 500lbs bag as it seems just a little bigger than the 300.

Has anyone here installed a front bag and if so, what size did you install?

Haven't purchased a surfboard in about 8 years and just upgraded to a new Alpha. Interested in getting a new board. I have an old Victoria Factor PCX skim (which needs repair because a board rack dented / cracked it), an old Grindwater Release surf board and an old compression molded big Ronix board for the boat / learning / cruising. The PCX is a very fun skim style board so I guess I'm looking for something a little more surf style. When I last looked, it didn't seem like the traditional wakeboarding companies like Hyperlite, ronix, liquid force were making great boards and people were all in on inland surfer and soulcraft and phase 5. But now it seems like inland surfer is gone and companies like Hyperlite and ronix and liquid force may make boards competitive with hte phase 5s of the world? Is there an internet resource? I've noticed most of the forums where you used to find this kind of info are pretty dead these days . . . .

20 MB classic 23’ boat, when done surfing I turn off surf switch but starboard side tab stays partially down? I can turn motor off, put key to batteries and hold switch up and it will go up?

Starboard Surf Tab Acuator Won’t Go Back Up

Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated as the surf tab will not go back up after surfing. Port side goes up and down no problem but starboard side is stuck in surfing position. Turned off the battery for a reset which worked perfectly but no longer doing the trick? Is there any harm in running the boat at a slow speed and/or continuing to surf if it doesn’t go back up? Thanks in advance.

Hey all! I have a 2015 B52. We found last weekend the surf tabs didn’t work at all. Auto or manual operation. A nut/screw on top of one was loose so I had a suspicion, and as expected it was full of water and rust. I unhooked it, and the other side began to work so some of the issues are sorting themselves out. Did some testing and power is good to both. My question is, what is the proper actuator / part # for me to odder? Can’t find anything on my old one other than LENCO.

2016 B52 Surf Step

Hello,

I have a seen a ton of threads stating that the swim step really impacts the wave. I have noticed my wave isn’t as good as most of the photos I’ve seen. My wave at some point can be a decent size but is very messy.

I’ve done all kinds of ways to fill tanks and what seems to make the biggest wave I do full hard ballast half full locker sacs and a 200 pound fat sac at the bow.

Any suggestions?

DIY Wave gate B52 V23

I wanted surf gates but didn't want to bolt anything to my stern. Didn't want to pay 600 dollars for kits that bolt on or Velcro on. I was looking to have wave gate setup that was integrated into the boats design without being seen....

So my brother and I put our heads together and came up with a dead simple wave gate design.

The only downfall is I made the fins/gates tapered because I liked the look, so I need one for each side. Something to keep in mind if you want to fabricate your setup to have one gate that was interchangeable on either side.

Happy to share all the supplies and measurements that we used to complete this job.

Have only built the gate for the starboard side thus far but have the supplies to put together the port side soon.

$200 spent on project and this includes all the aluminum, epoxy, stainless hardware, 5200 and starboard.

23' MB B52 Alpha Wakesurf Setup

Hey everyone,

My family just picked up a 23' B52 Alpha this year and we have been trying to dial in the surf wave as much as possible. We fill everything up 100% and run the pumps for 10 minutes before we start surfing. We don't run any additional ballast or weight either. We have found that this with a 19% trim tab at 11 mph has created a monster wave, whether there are a lot of people on the boat or not. I am interested in hearing the settings you all use because I would love to test out different waves and try and get a feel for what works best. Thank you!

The beef is complete of juice and tastes rare. The Tangyang fried chook is crispy and not oily, and the meat is gentle and easy. Whilst dipped in salad sauce, the taste can be richer.

1. Is this a good boat if its primary use would be surfing? It's basically the largest boat I can get in my boat house.

Just picked up a 2016 MB B52 Classic. Full PNP in the rear (I believe 1100# bags) and sumo sac 750# up front.

I've been messing with it and cannot get it to look as sharp as I had hoped. We surf regular...I have attached a video of all bags full...11.2mph, and just me on the boat.

2014 MB B52 350mcx Prop

hello there i am looking at upgrading my prop on my 2014 mb b52 21ft with they 350 chevy motor we have the 1235 prop on the boat right now we are about 800ft elevation surffing at about 3000 to 3500 rpm and about 4000 lbs of weaight when u have more the 3 people in the boat it dose not like to get to 10.5 to 11.2 mph we where looking into 2315 prop but just wondring on other people opinion to run on are boat

Test surfed a Paragon G23 this weekend at a dealer Demo with my awesome Doomswell board. Nautique rep was there. Was not impressed with the push for the few minutes I was able to surf. The wave was set to max and was huge but no more push than my 2005 B52 21' boat. I was as close to the swim platform when compared to my boat. Granted, the water was 60F, it was windy and air temp was 63F, I was freezing to death and the driver had no idea what he was doing. Should I have been able to surf farther back or was it just my inability to concentrate being so cold? I was really hyped on the idea that bigger is better and when I hit the lotto, I get a bigger boat.
