<p>Had my boat docked this weekend, came back the next morning and found the bilge light was on, but the switch was not engaged and the bilge was not on. Flipped the bilge switch a few times and nothing happened, and once i pulled the drain plug after trailering, the light turned off. Pretty sure I need to replace the bilge pump, I have the S500 Sahara pump which came with my 2013 F21. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Anyone ever changed their's? Looks like it would be a simple plug and play after buying a new pump, which is only about $40. </p>

	What’s up guys!
</p>

<p>
	First post - My name is Duke and wanted to introduce myself as I am a new member to the MB family. Last year, we bought a low hour 2020 F22 Tomcat with the Raptor 440. Black hull with teal flake and gray interior. This is our first boat and we couldn’t be more stoked on it.
</p>

<p>
	I was raised boating my whole life in the California Delta, moved to Reno NV over a decade ago and absolutely love life out here. We have a tight knit friend group and have been boating with them for the past several years. However, we were the first of our friend group to have a kid and that changed a lot of things (for the better!) We decided it was time for us to have our own family boat to enjoy and pass that lifestyle on to our children.
</p>

<p>
	Was looking at all the brands and my good buddy pointed me to MB. Didn’t really know too much about them but the more I researched and checked out all the brands the more it was an absolute no brainer. MB is like a dirty little secret of the boating world.
</p>

<p>
	So here we are. We spend pretty much every summer weekend on the boat wakeboarding, surfing, and enjoying lake life. My two year old daughter LOVES it. Screams BOAT! every time I pull it up, loves to drive sitting on my lap, and loves to sit on the swim deck and play in the water. Made the purchase worth every penny. Can’t wait to get her up on the surf board soon.
</p>

<p>
	Stoked on the MB and stoked to be part of this crew. Pics below. Cheers!

<p>
	Well .....
</p>

<p>
	I should be getting fairly close to delivery and I have to start thinking about how to insure my 23/A. My last boat was a 19ft sterndrive worth 20K so I just used Allstate agent because my other stuff is with them.  It wasn't that bad and we had minimal coverage because the boat wasn't worth a whole lot.  I've heard big companies like Allstate and State Farm can be uber expensive but I have nothing to compare them to.
</p>

<p>
	Protection is more important to me than price believe it or not. I will be a new V-Drive skipper, so there will be a learning curve and I fully recognize that there will be increased damage threats during the first year as I get used to the boat.
</p>

<p>
	That being said, any good recommendations on insurance companies? I'm looking for the best value, not necessarily the best price. I want the peace of mind that I will be taken care of if something (heaven forbid) were to happen. I don't want a 60k check if my 100K boat is lost to damage or stolen in the first couple of years. Please throw out some suggestions because I don't even know where to begin getting quotes. TIA...
</p>

<p>

<p>Does anyone have a CA Emissions Hang Tag they did not need or did not use? I really need one so I am reaching out to you guys as my last resort.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I purchased my 2010 F23 in Oregon, paid CA DMV over $3500 in fee's and this is the last thing I need. It is just a CA Emissions Hang Tag that is not registered to any Hull ID or engine serial number. I simply need to show/submit one to DMV.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I spoke to the original dealership, MB factory, a PCM dealer and PCM factory and reached a dead end.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><em><strong><u>Likely, an MB from out of state will have one that was not needed to originally register in that state</u>.</strong></em></p>
<p> </p>
<p>OR</p>
<p> </p>
<p>advice on how to register it w/o a CA emissions hang tag (which I believe is not possible).</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Thank in advance.</p>

	Hi everyone. New to this forum, and also new to the MB world. I had the incredible good fortune to come across this amazing product from Surfinity called the Boat Shield. The quality of the craftsmanship, the fit of the product on my particular boat, and the protection it will offer while trailering, will save me many rock chips and potential gel coat  repairs down the road. Not to mention the customer service I received from Anna at Surfinity was far, far above and beyond what was expected. So when I see a good product that may benefit others in this form, I just wanted to pass along. Again, thank you Surfinity and Anna

<p>I’m taking a test drive (ride?) in a ‘17 B52 23’. This will be my first wakeboard boat but not my first boat. I’ve read as much as I could find about these boats but there’s not a lot out there outside of the forums. So my question is, what should I look for on the test ride. We took a look at it at the dealership on the trailer but it was pouring rain and we were under a shed cover. I plan on giving it a better inspection this weekend. </p>
<p>
Are there any common problem areas I should look for? What should I ask? Thanks for any help you can give. </p>

<p>
	I was playing around on the ballast/cruise control screen and noticed the “video” tab on the left, and once clicked it pulls up a blue screen as if camera can be connected. Has anyone discovered this, used it, or know of a camera system that will work? Is it indeed for a camera system?

	Hey MB Sports Fam! I’m back in the MB world… not sure I truly left:) but I’m now learning and growing into my dream job. I’ve sold a lot of great boat brands in my 25+ year career… I haven’t ever ran into a brand that’s made me as loyal to the company and lifestyle as MB Sports. I can’t thank the Brendell family enough for allowing me to join them.

<p>
	At the Detroit Boat Show, a vendor had a boat lift attachment..  It's a geared wheel that's powered by any screw gun instead of an electric motor.  The geared wheel rides against the boat lift winch wheel.  The screw gun along with the geared wheel apparently has enough torque to turn the lift wheel and thus raise and lower a boat.  The vendor was called Lighting Lift.  The whole kit was $200 I think.  The guy was working on his website so it's no available yet, but LightingLift.net.
</p>

<p>
	Are these mechanisms able to lift boat?  My boat is only 3600 lbs dry.  I've seen pictures of one something like this maybe 5-10 years ago, but nothing for sale.  BOAT LIFT BUDDY- WHEEL-ASSIST LIFT MOTOR by EXTREME MAX has the same idea, but it's powered by a motor, not a screw gun.

<p>
	Has anyone bought and installed evolution tabs? I have a 2007 f23 which is not known for making a good surf wave. After talking with evolution tabs they say it will help a lot with cleaning up the wave and giving more push. The price seems to be a little better than the competition. Any help or opinions is greatly appreciated.

<p>I just posted on MB's Facebook page. I think it would be great to get together somewhere near the MB factory in the spring for a couple days. Ian, any chance you could get something going with MB? You guys could make it an onlyinboards, MB, mbboatowners event and bring out all of your new products. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Who would be up for an event like this?</p>

	<span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#000000;font-size:13px;text-align:left;">If you are not already aware, Michigan State Representative Julie Rogers of District 41 (Kalamazoo area) introduced a bill (HB 5532) that would limit the use of any boat contributing to towed water sports.</span><strong style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#000000;font-size:13px;text-align:left;"><span> </span>We want to make it clear that this is not exclusive to wake surf boats only.<span> </span></strong><span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#000000;font-size:13px;text-align:left;">The bill uses the terminology of "Wake sport mode" which refers to the operation of a boat with any wake-enhancing equipment/features engaged. This includes but is not limited to ski boat hydrogates, microtuners, wake shapers, ballast, etc. It is important to note that if we do not fight this issue now, it is only going to hurt the boating industry as a whole down the road!</span>

<p>
	Here's the complete bill:  <a href="https://www.legislature.mi.gov/(S(mj5g3hjl4ur5yjr2taquk5su))/mileg.aspx?page=getObject&amp;objectName=2024-HB-5532" rel="external nofollow">https://www.legislature.mi.gov/(S(mj5g3hjl4ur5yjr2taquk5su))/mileg.aspx?page=getObject&amp;objectName=2024-HB-5532</a>

<p>
	<span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#000000;font-size:13px;text-align:left;">If you have not already contacted your state representative, WSIA has provided a link that will help you quickly draft an email to send in to express this concerning matter. We cannot stress how important it is to voice your concerns on this issue involving towed water sports in order to protect our boating rights! </span>

	<span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#000000;font-size:13px;text-align:left;">The above information was from SilverSpray Sports in Michigan.  If this bill passes, I will not be able to surf on my lake.  Don't let this happen.  Contact your state rep!!!!!</span>

	I’m considering another MB but am wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on the MB Bow Divider and the warming tray on 2023’s . It seems that every boat I get in , they do not fit correctly. Bow divider doesn’t reach the window and the warming tray leaves a 4 inch gap into the engine bay. Anyone experience this? Did MB just not adjust these when they changed the hull design ?
