I am new to boating and recently bought a 2016 MB B52 23’. I took the boat out to the lake for my first trip and noticed for the first half of the day boat was running at 5000 rpms and was barely hitting 18 mph ( 8 adults and 2 kids on boat). after we took a break for about 2 hours. When we got on the boat (same amount of people) I was hitting 28 mph without breaking 4000 RPMs. is there a reason for this? Is it the reduction of gas? Had a full tank and was about half tank when rpms dropped… it was also I little more windy and choppy during the first ride. Could that cause the boat stress to get to speed? -
Hello, I have a seen a ton of threads stating that the swim step really impacts the wave. I have noticed my wave isn’t as good as most of the photos I’ve seen. My wave at some point can be a decent size but is very messy. I’ve done all kinds of ways to fill tanks and what seems to make the biggest wave I do full hard ballast half full locker sacs and a 200 pound fat sac at the bow. Any suggestions?

When starting the boat while warm I typically turn the ignition to on and let the ECM do it's thing. It still doesn't just fire right up. Seems like it takes longer than it should. If you just turn the key and go it's even worse. Anyone else have this issue or notice this? If you turn the boat off to switch riders or just float and you need to start it up in a hurry it just doesn't happen. Its' a process. Any suggestions?
