  1. I wanted surf gates but didn't want to bolt anything to my stern. Didn't want to pay 600 dollars for kits that bolt on or Velcro on. I was looking to have wave gate setup that was integrated into the boats design without being seen.... So my brother and I put our heads together and came up with a dead simple wave gate design. The only downfall is I made the fins/gates tapered because I liked the look, so I need one for each side. Something to keep in mind if you want to fabricate your setup to have one gate that was interchangeable on either side. Happy to share all the supplies and measurements that we used to complete this job. Have only built the gate for the starboard side thus far but have the supplies to put together the port side soon. $200 spent on project and this includes all the aluminum, epoxy, stainless hardware, 5200 and starboard.
  2. I recently purchased a 2010 f21 With 95 hours .we are super happy with the boat. We took it out last weekend to a local lake here in San Diego and my boys were able to wake surf with ballast full on one side using his 5'4" channel islands epoxy board. Thinking of adding some ballast to the front and adding a removable wake gate to the side .does anyone have any suggestions on what wake gate is best for my boat? Prefer the suction cup method also how much ballast to add to the bow? I think the hull design is the same for 2010 and 11 but not sure after that.... Any advice or input would be appreciated. Thank you
  3. Putting my XMAS list together and was looking for opinions on the best Skim Board and Surf Board models, not necessarily a hybrid board unless opinions agree otherwise. I have read through previous post but was wanting to narrow it down a little bit. Average-intermediate level looking to get better of course. Phase 5, Soulcraft, Doomswell, Slingshot, Liquid Force, Victoria, Byerly, Ronix, Hyperlite etc...... GO Thanks!!
