Rich74
We sure hope fuel costs goes down a bit so we can make the trek. Anyone know how long the drive is from Corona, CA. Rich

DFTR Josh
If we decide on Antelope Point Marina, Lake Powell I would suggest to stay on the docks and not take the houseboats out. The fuel to run a houseboat is out of control and all the crap you have to do to get the boat settled once you hit shore. The marina you have the boat plugged in with full power and also a private slip you can reserve for your boat to tie up at night or during the day. APM as said above it has the cable (system 2 type) to play on all day long when not on the boat or resting. Also the bar/restaurant is a great place to hang out either during the day or even ALL night. Would be awesome to get the owners together for a big dinner and support the marina and I'm sure I can work something out for discounts. I can have our boat on the dock and can sleep 4 couples in beds. Depending on the dock location we usually tie up 2 boats to it also. It would be great to hit shore but the cost almost triple when you talk about fueling up the houseboats. GREAT riding just outside the marina or even a 15 min boat ride to some decent riding and awesome sights. I'm 7 hours away from the marina but it's worth every mile! DFTR Josh
What about the idea of early spring? March or April? Colder yes, but the water will be so much better. It will be hard to get everybody set on a date but I'm down either way. Don ~ That's a trip and would be awesome if you make it with the new boat. SkySki
Lets get a vote going. How about we try and get a couple of months narrowed down. Please only vote for one: #1 = March or April #2 = April or May #3 = May or June #4 = June or July #5 = July or August I will go first with #4. In a few weeks we can narrow down to a month and then a week in that month. Since it is winter, I think giving more time for people to visit the site is best. Bishop
I'm going with 2 or 3. Just want to go when the riding is epic. July-September sucks for that.
DFTR Josh
Dealing with a "resort" marina we will have more luck dealing with them in the off season. Their pretty much already booked in advance during the peak months (June - August)and not willing to work much as the off season. I will contact the marina and kind of get a pricing quote put together for renting HB and private slips. The big question is how many people are we going to have and how many boats? I'm sure that will be their first question.

pilot
Awww, google says it is 1100+ miles from San Antonio vs. the 285 it would've been when I lived in Phoenix.

pilot
While I wouldn't tow my own boat to this, I might be interested in renting a travel trailer and making a 2 week trip out of this. Are there colocated camp grounds, or camp grounds nearby?
SkySki
Well, in the process if looking for houseboat rentals, I just found/bought a week on one. This year my week is July 14-20 out of Wahweap. So you can guess what my choice of weeks/dates are.
