mathemagician44
Hello all, 2015 B52 with the 400 Raptor. I had the pleasure of replacing the under-mounted starter over the winter. Put it in last week and road it a couple times for 20-30 minutes, all was perfect. Last weekend, all was good for 30 min or so. While idling as the kids through the fishing pole in a few times, it developed this sound. Seems to be coming from the back of the engine. Does it sound like a pulley or pulley bearing or something maybe? Water pump probably? IMG_2475.mov
shadowrider
Seems to loud for a water pump? Everything else normal? Temps all normal? Pulley or internal problem?
mathemagician44
If it is of any help, it was the belt tensioner. The belt tensioner pulley was about to fall off. Temp and all else was normal, but the weak belt tensioner did not run the alternator and wore out my batteries. Tcrip
