Winterizing 2016 F22

Recommended Posts

I know there’s a handful of discussions already on the boards about this. But I didn’t find any specific to 2016 Raptor 400’s. A few questions.
I plan to run the fuel treatment as the Indmar book describes, obviously pretty standard, then fog the cylinders. Plan on doing the oil/filter/impeller in the spring and replacing the plugs then too. The “general prep” section talk about antifreeze for fresh water cooled engines only. I know there’s an internal cooling system and I believe a fresh water system, right? Previous owner had  it in a heated shop and had more money than DIY ability. Doesn’t seem to know the answers to most questions. But he didn’t think I needed to run marine antifreeze into the fresh water intake? Just check the internal coolant and drain the plugs described in 8-4 of the Indmar manual?

Part two of the same project, there’s some type of connection/vent on the upper starboard side of the transom just above the inlaid step next to the Switch Horn. I tried to trace out the hose that extends internally from it. I was hoping it’s a fresh water intake but the opening and threads are too small. Does everyone just use a fake a lake to winterize/recomission? (Photos of the vent/connection I have in case it’s aftermarket or no one knows what I’m talking about)

Part three, I’m sure I could look and figure it out, but does anyone know off hand what VDrive the 2016 F22 has? Indmar manual lists 5 options, all of which have a water drain for winterization.
