Intermittent audio gremlins never really leave, they just wait until people are on board.

A dedicated house battery should keep the stereo from turning a lazy afternoon into a no-start situation. Reserve capacity matters way more there than extra cranking amps.

Those intermittent ones always seem to come back at the worst time. Could be fine all season, or vanish again next outing :)

Classic boat electrics lol, yank the wires and it magically fixes itself. Mine did the same with a corroded spade connector and it stayed fixed for about two weekends before it went quiet again, so I'm rooting for yours lasting longer.
